Tania Susi is a graduate of Julliard School with a B.M. and M.M. She has appeared on the concert stage of Europe, Asia, South America and North America. Her chamber music performances include the Rising Stars Series at The Barge Music in Brooklyn and guest appearances at Bard College, Alice Tully Hall in NYC and Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C. in quartet and duo recitals.
Ms. Susi's 2005 - 06 season includes performances at NYC's Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, The New York Viola Society at the Donnell Library and Columbia University. She appears in the Capital Region of upstate New York at The Schenectady County Community College Chamber Music Series and recitals at The State University at Albany Performing Arts Center, The Saratoga County Arts Center, The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.
She is the first performing artist to be chosen as a recipient of The NYSCA funded 2006 Saratoga County Artist Grant. Ms. Susi is presenting the viola and musical thought in a solo program at The Great Room Theatre in Gansevoort, N.Y. in 2006.
Ms. Susi was featured live in Slovakia on the radio performing at the second international Festival of Chamber Music in Zilinia, Slovakia. Previous festivals include chamber music appearances at The Aspen Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, New York String Seminar in Carnegie Hall and The Bowdoin Music Festival in Maine. Ms. Susi has performed with The New Julliard Ensemble at the Summer Garden Series at the MOMA, NYC.
Other musical endeavors have included working as an educational outreach artist for The New York POPs Orchestra. Commercial experience includes performing live on MTV unplugged with Bryan Adams. Ms. Susi has also played with The TranSiberian Orchestra on tour and at the Beacon Theatre in addition to appearing in their MTV music video.
Ms. Susi plays a Nicholas Frirsz viola.
